Glass-ceiling related news on this Tuesday:
- Senator Mikulski of Maryland, the longest serving woman in congress, the first woman to lead the Senate Appropriations Committee, mentor to women accross party lines, has announced that she will not seek reelection.
- The Glass Ceiling Index shows that fewer women lead large American companies than men named John. The same is true of men named David.
- And tomorrow, the Supreme Court is set to hear argument in King v. Burwell. The Court’s decision could end tax subsidies to states that have not set up their own health care exchanges, effectively gutting the Affordable Care Act. While such a ruling would affect us all, it would have a disproportionate impact on women of color.
